6 Tasks You Can Outsource

Published by admin at 3:42 pm under Outsourcing

Business Cards & Letterheads
If you market your business locally or attend events to sell your products, your assistant can create business cards, flyers, reports and other items to give away during these events. She can also create letterheads and other stationary with your business logo on it.

Calendar Management
If you’re schedule is busy and you find yourself forgetting about meetings, errands or other tasks. Your assistant can create an online calendar (Google Calendar works great!) and then you (or she) can add all your important dates. Simply email/IM your dates to the assistant and she’ll add them in for you. Some online calendars even have a daily reminder message of upcoming events that you can receive through email or RSS feed. If you don’t want to use an online calendar, your assistant can keep track of everything and just remind you as events come up.

Create Surveys
Surveys allow you to obtain great feedback from your visitors and subscribers so you can make informed decisions. Your assistant can help set up the survey, run result reports and close everything out when it’s complete.

Post Jobs & Screen Potential Employees.
Just because you use a VA for much of your office work doesn’t mean you won’t hire someone else for another task. Maybe you need a babysitter, housekeeper or even other freelancers, your assistant can post jobs, and screen replies to ensure only those that reach you have all the qualifications you require. They can even go a step farther and handle employment/reference verifications.

Snail Mail Mailings
Why not let your assistant fill out and send all your holiday and thank you cards, sales notices and other mailings. You can send them the supplies they’ll need or some will purchase the supplies and then invoice you for the expense.

Transfer hard-copy material to digital format.
Maybe you have a Rolodex full of business contacts, a file folder full of snipped bits of information, a stack of hand written notes or even company manuals that you’d like to put on CD or have saved on your computer. You can scan and email, fax or mail these to your assistant and have her put them into a word document, spreadsheet or other format for you. Some assistants will even transfer them to CD and mail it back to you if you prefer.
